The purpose of this tool is to help you think about your expectations about relationship and, if you wish, communicate them with your partner and compare your partner’s answers to yours.
If you and your partner create separate Partner IDs with the same Relationship ID, then you can compare them side by side. *
(Don’t panic if you answer differently than your partner. Read this article about differences in relationship.)
You can also use this tool to do other kinds of comparison. For example, you could create one Partner ID of “Mine” and another Partner ID “His” (or “Hers”) to compare your expectations with what you think your partner’s expectations are. It could be instructive for you each to do this and then compare your perception of your partner’s expectations with their actual expectations.
You also could create one Partner ID of “Expectations” and another Partner ID “Actual” to compare your expectations for relationship to how you perceive a particular relationship to be actually meeting those needs. You could create one Partner ID of “Wishful” and another one “Reality” and compare your wishes for relationship with what you believe you can actually get from anyone. You could compare your relationship expectations with the relationship expectations that you believe society or particular people have.
There are 5 possible ratings for each category, low to high. Using all 5 ratings will give you more accuracy of answers, but using only High, Medium, and Low will make the result more visually easy to view, so it may be best to try that first.

* Currently the tool only allows you to have 2 Partner IDs with the same Relationship ID. My apologies to the polyamorous community. This is a technical/display issue. I may try to address this limitation in the future if it seems that there is a demand for it.
